There is romance pieces within this story, but it feels more like fiction than romance. However, it is very well done. I saw it described as sort of a Sex and the City vibe, and as someone who never actually watched the show that made sense to me. lol!

This book details some of the pain and struggles black people face in America. There's triggers for police brutality, broken prison systems, and overt and "quiet" racism. I truly appreciate the existence of this book for giving me the opportunity to sit quietly and listen to begin to grasp some of the privileges I have as an average white lady.
