the book is well written and some parts can completely hook you in, but some paragraphs were not really interesting to me. i think thats what fell short for me as i read this book. it is a really interesting book with topics like cannibalism and the place that women take in the world. Dorothy is an interesting and well written character and is the main focus of the book, which is technically her memoir. she is a food critic, sometimes cannibal that murdered some of her lovers. 

i do recommend this book though since it was pretty interesting.
