This is a beautiful little book that not only gives hope to children and young adults battling cancer, but also gives them permission to be upset or confused by what is happening to them. While Desjardins weaves a complex and compelling story, to me, Ferrer's illustrations are the star of the show and reflect the twists and turns of the story.

At forty-nine pages, this is worth picking up at a bookstore or (shameless plug) your local library.
