This volume was definitely more intriguing than the first one. We got a lot more romance and some build up between the two main characters. The ending of this was full of suspense, and I cannot wait to pick up the third book.

Just like the first one, I do feel like the world building is severely lacking in this series in general. I didn’t even realize there was magic and spirits and demons until this volume.
