Loved the book, although it was hard to connect to it at first. I felt that about a third in I really started feeling the story. I do love the banter between the MMC and the FMC, but for the life of me, I sometimes hardly agree with the FMC's choices.
But, the fact that in this world we not only get a shadow Daddy, but also a shadow mommy... a new experience for me, but I am all in here.
World-building is nice, there is alot of mystery, tons of emotions, secrets and political intrigue.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book and that cliffhanger ending has left me dumbfounded to say the least.
