Throne of the Fallen follows the Prince of Envy who is trying to save his kingdom from a mistake that he made. When he is tasked with finding Camilla, a talented painter, he finds himself entangled with her and she finds herself pulled into a game that she's not interested in being a part of.
I thought this was a pretty interesting fantasy romance read. I really liked Camilla and the Prince of Envy quite a bit. I thought they worked together so well and I loved how they could both hold their own without each other. I thought that Envy's power was so interesting. I also loved how they were held by the confines of the society they were in at the beginning.
i thought that the fantasy part of the world we ended up in was interesting. I really enjoyed seeing the different realms and meeting more of Envy's brothers. They all have to do with different sins and it's interesting to see how their sins influenced who they were. Kerri Maniscalco also left little clues as to what the next books would be about which I loved.
I would also recommend you finish the Kingdom of the Wicked series if you don't want to be spoiled for the ending of that story.
I thought the plot could have been a lot stronger. I found that the reason for the game they were in was pretty interesting but it was also wrapped up so easily at the end, I wish we had gotten more.
If you are interested in reading this book, I would highly recommend picking it up. I will definitely be reading more when they come out.
