i’ve really enjoyed this one, though it wasn’t always an easy read and you have to be patient with it at times. it reminded me of “a little life” by hanya yanagihara in many ways, there’s a friendgroup in new york that tries to navigate the relationships between each other while discovering themselves as individuals - i really liked that

also a really interesting read about sexuality, the american bohemian lifestyle and depiction of the treatment of black people in new york in the early sixties

kind of a spoiler but not really:

kind of disappointing to me that we don’t really find out about the fate of some characters at the end but oh well, still a good ending to me
