✨ARC Review✨

This is a quick holiday read about Charlotte and her brother’s best friend, Hayden. They’ve know each other since they were kids. Now they’re in their twenties with careers and Hayden with a three-year-old daughter, Gwen.

Her brother and his fiancée are having a weekend getaway before the wedding with Charlotte, Hayden, and their other friend, Garrett. Charlotte and Hayden haven’t talked much in the three years since they shared a kiss after which Hayden rejected her soundly.

Obviously the forced proximity is going to have them finally communicating about that kiss and the subsequent rejection which will then lead to some steamy sessions.

I like these two together, but there’s another incident that has me not 100% on board the Hayden train. Similar to another book I recently read, I wanted a lot more groveling. Like, A LOT.

All in all, it was a good read, if not one I’ll be thinking of for years to come.
