This is the first tentacle book I've read where the alien isn't at all human-looking, and I was a little put off by that at first, but as the book went on, it got less weird to me. This was a super short book, being just over 100 pages long, so there wasn't a ton of room to really build a deep relationship, and yet the bonding between Sam and Bhanzier had a lot of heart. I think this book was pretty cute.
