From Blood and Ash a great introduction into a 6 book high fantasy series! It was very info-dump heavy at the beginning and I was a little confused but it eventually came around and made much more sense. I would say if you can push past the 20% mark it gets so much better.
The story line itself is very interesting with the idea of the maiden and trying to figure out how she plays a bigger role in this world and the romance/smut was slow burn and so worth it by the end. Very excited to pick up the next one.
