Tessa Bailey, might just have to get the queen of romance smut, because this was HOT. I loved Travis so much, he definitely had some nice qualities, and I’m not just talking about his bat 😉. He showed such great character development throughout the book and he shaped up, just the way I wanted him too. He is definitely a giver in bed, at least with Georgie, and it is HOT as can be. His demanding-ness and dirty talk definitely lived up to my expectations.
Georgie was definitely a wonderful character. Shes everything I didn’t expect, a 23 year old virgin, a clown (I loved that this was her profession and the REASONS WHY MADE ME CRY), but she was also a wonderful leader, friend, and sister. We got to see her interact with multiple people throughout the novel, not just Travis and family, and we really got to get up close and personal with her intermost thoughts of being the baby in the family. It was disheartening sometimes to read the things her family said to or thought about her, but she was so strong.
The ending was SO UNEXPECTED. I loved it though, with no doubt. This definitely had an amazing ending and I love how much we got to see the very visible change in Travis, because it was much needed. I also loved how Tessa dived into men depression, which I feel like we don’t see much of in novels. He lost his job, was in a town full of heartbreaking memories, and he had nobody (mainly because of himself but whatever), and Georgie was a huge light in his life and lit a spark in his barely there fire.
