All the Truths by Rina Kent
3.0
This book has a dual POV whereas the first book was only from Reina's POV with some chapter's from G's POV. We get a better understanding of Asher's thoughts and feelings towards the whole situation and his perspective of his past with Reina and how their relationship turned over the years.
We also find out the identity of Cloud003 in this book while we already find out who G was at the end of book one, which gave us some answers and a lot more questions about the reasons and motives behind G's plan. The identity reveal of Cloud003 also seemed sort of predictable with certain hints that were given.
I feel like there was a lot of chaos and drama in this duet but somehow, everything falls into place a little too conveniently. Like everything was tied up a little too neatly at the end, with the way all the miscommunication and assumptions were cleared up.
Asher and Reina spend most of their time in this book screwing each other. Asher didn't even grovel for all the shit he put Reina through All he does is say sorry once or twice and that's it. Reina is like "yeah, it's all cool. I don't want to spend any more of our time fighting." Seriously?????
The plot with Ariana's involvement in this situation didn't feel worth all the mystery.
I enjoyed this slightly more than the first book cuz all the aspects of the mystery was gradually coming together, Asher was a bit less insufferable in the second half of this book and also cuz of the twist at the end with the appearance of a character that I like from another series. But at the same time, it felt like this book was trying too hard to fit all the puzzle pieces just right.
The plot kept going back and forth where I didn't even feel like Asher and Reina liked each other much in the past. It is said that when they were younger, Asher and Reina were very close but once their engagement was announced, Reina started being cold and distant. Now again, she was also apparently super bitchy and mean to the other people in her college and treated them like shit and did horrible things to them, Like I said, a lot of the chaos was too conveniently smoothed over. Same goes for the identity reveal of Cloud003.

even after knowing she was having serious thoughts of s*icide and that he definitely played a major part in her mental health declining both directly and indirectly. The plot with Ariana's involvement in this situation didn't feel worth all the mystery.

That reveal with her masterminding everything to play both Asher and Reina for years and keep them apart was not the grand reveal I was hoping for. It felt kinda underwhelming tbh and a lot like the plot of One of us is lying, but just felt more random cuz we don't really know where these feelings were coming from, what triggered them and why she really did what she did in the first place. What was her motive? After all that drama you can't just give a 2 page lousy confession that seemed like it was put in just to sort everything out between the main characters right towards the endI enjoyed this slightly more than the first book cuz all the aspects of the mystery was gradually coming together, Asher was a bit less insufferable in the second half of this book and also cuz of the twist at the end with the appearance of a character that I like from another series.
