Never Say Never by Harlow James
5.0
I am SO glad I was introduced to Harlow James – and I’m only sad that it hadn’t happened sooner. First of all, she’s a sweetheart and I love chatting with her while I devour her books. Second of all, her books are magnificent!
This book was everything. The character development and backstories were great, and I loved the tension between the characters as our FMC continued to deny her growing feeling for her childhood nemesis, Damien. But of course, when you throw in some fake dating, the feelings never stay fake for long!
This book was so much fun and I never wanted to put it down. That said, her parents are the perfect enemy you’ll love to hate. OH and when all of their secrets collide at WORK? My god, you’ll never want to put this one down either. And our FMC’s group of friends? I want them to adopt me.
Tropes:
- Fake dating
- Enemies to lovers
- Fling to forever
- High school reunion
- Childhood nemesis
- It’s always been you
- Forced proximity
- Workplace romance (kind of?)
