I wanted to like this so much more than I did :( it fell flat in terms of writing and the inclusion of real life things like Halsey and etc. made it fall flat for me. I found the romance to be lackluster and unclear, and while the world had a good premise, I just found some of the setting to be a bit lacking. It was marketed as a slow burn and it was NOT, with a very confusing romance tbh. I will continue to book #2 nonetheless.
