The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

5.0

Brandon Sanderson's "The Final Empire," the first in the Mistborn series, is an amazing example of how to create real, interesting characters. Sanderson is a pro at giving his characters lots of depth and making them feel real and complex.

At first, the story starts off slow, and it might take a bit of patience to get into it. But this slow start isn't a bad thing at all. Sanderson uses this time to build up suspense and get you really interested in the characters. This way, when things really start happening, you're already hooked and care a lot about what's going on.

For me, the first 200 pages were about getting used to Sanderson's world. After that, I was so caught up in the story that I finished the rest of the book super quickly, in just a day or two. The plot takes its time to get going, but once it does, it's fantastic and really exciting.

"The Final Empire" isn't just a fantasy story; it's a journey into a world where characters feel like real people with complex lives. Sanderson is great at balancing character building with an exciting story.

This is an awesome start to the Mistborn series and shows just how good Brandon Sanderson is at telling stories. I absolutely loved this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for a story that perfectly mixes deep characters with an exciting fantasy world. Can't wait to read book 2!
