I don't need to like the narrator of a book. There are lots of good books out there with unlikable protagonists, but there are some books, like this one, where if I can't relate to the main character it just won't work for me.

The only reason I continued reading was because I expected her to have an epiphany about how she was as self-centered as her Uncle Billy and then she would grow and change. Nope, she starts out a whiney, self-absorbed, entitled brat and doesn't grow one iota.
