What I've learned is that I do love a good "narrator walks around aimlessly while reflecting on life" book. This is a quiet novel with shades of John Berger and Sebald. Loved it so much. I had the pleasure of listening to Geoffrey Morrison read parts of his book for us in a zoom session, complete with the accents from his family background.
