It almost felt as if there was a longer book, and somebody was told to condense it into ~100 pages. There were a lot of ideas that could've been explored further, such as the backstory of Staggerlee's grandparents.
Overall enjoyable. I understand I'm not the target audience for this book at all, but I think middle-grade readers could really benefit from this narrative.
