Gahhhhh! Whaaaaatttt— I wasn’t sure about this at first, but I stuck with it, and boy am I glad I did. There was a lot of build-up, but the story wrapped up better than I could have expected. Without giving too much away, it’s a crazy cute low-spice slow-burn contemporary romance, which are HARD to find. I plan to seek out more Rainbow Rowell books, now.
Pros: fun y2k-era setting, shy nerds meet-cute, D&D mentions, non-shallow romance, slow-burn, non-smutty
Cons: borderline-stalker behavior (but it gets redeemed)
Love, love, love <3
