Finally - we’re done. My love for the first books in the series kept me slugging through. In this final book - we have a serious breach in the ymbryne world of Loops - Miss Peregrine's brother Caul has gained power that he intends to use to take over the peaceful world that the ymbrynes have built.
We still have Noor - "one of the seven" who were prophesied to be able to take on the evil in a battle in the ymbryne world.  The evil that is now manifest in Caul. Are we finally going to learn more about the prophecy?
The book is not without action - we have wights, hollowgasts, explosions, death, destruction, a loop that is inside a tornado. Enoch gets to bring someone back to life. But - at times I felt like Riggs was driving his narrative to fit the funky  pictures he found - instead of letting those characters settle into the book on their own.

He gets that effect towards the end when he mentions that one of Miss Wren's charges was sitting quietly playing the banjo.

The switch up with the prophecy not exactly being true was just wrong for me.

I felt like Nelson Muntz popped up and said "You thought you needed all seven to fulfill the prophecy. Ha Ha!

The ending with Miss P was nice - and a good way to end the series.  I emphasize the word end - because of course they could continue to have adventures - now that Jacob has joined them. If they do - I don't plan on reading them.
