Quirky but intriguing. Enjoyed the insight into the characters' minds, especially with respect to their selfish points of view as they thought through situations. Very revealing in how we are naturally self centered in our attitudes and motives, if we do not mature and grow. I was a little disappointed with the ending, but it is probably quite realistic. A tied-in-a-bow happy ending would not have fit the themes and style of the rest of the book.
