Air traffic controller Pippa and pilot Andrew agree to fake date to get their respective families off their backs. Initially they agree on a few public functions like birthdays and school reunions but spend more and more time together.

I love everything about this book. It has a great romance at its heart and is chock full with lovable characters. It has a serious heat rating, and normally I hate that, but these two characters have so much chemistry, it is insane. But prepare to read about blow-jobs on page 5 already, and learn about the penis size of Greek and Roman statues, because Pippa is on the autism spectrum and thinks nothing of discussing all aspects of sex (how do merpeople have sex?) loudly in public. She always speaks honestly and without filter. She is absolutely fascinating - no wonder Andrew fell in love! I really like her and the foreword mentions that the author is also on the spectrum so could create this character from experience.

Andrew is a fantastic character and able to take her exactly as she is. It's a fabulous and steamy journey, and at the end we even get an emergency landing where Pippa finally accepts and articulates her feelings.

I have read quite a few of Jo Watson's books but this surely is her best to date.

"I want the frozen peas with you."
