A fine ending to this series, if I don't include the side book with Saffron and Julian. I am curious about that one, because it'll at least be a change of pace from the past 4 books, with  expanding on side characters and focusing on a different political conflict. The main romance is okay, its very chaste and slow burn. The last half of the story was fun, it's like now that the stakes are at its highest, Elena and Lucas are finally committing to plans, both with each other and with finally ending the war. Their relationship was the primary focus, but I wish there was more scenes with her friends, especially at the beginning of the series. It wasn't really until the end of the series that characters started acting like they were friends, and it was kinda weird.
