Yellowface by R.F. Kuang
5.0
The woman was too stunned to speak (the woman is me) this book was insane, I've previously talked with other book buddies about the book while reading and they said that the book slowed down a bit in the middle but weirdly enough I didn't feel it, I can tell where they would pinpoint that slowness but I personally didn't feel it.
This was the first time reading any of Kuang's books and really it was an amazing experience, her writing feels so fresh and rich yk ?, the idea for me was new. The blunt Plagiarism that I've witnessed in this made me swear all the way to the end of the book, like the audacity just kept surprising me and her reasons that felt utterly psychological like I– as a reader– is insane for thinking or being accusatory of June, it's why I felt that this book was engaging in a way (a reason why I wanted to slam her head to a wall as well but meh
