I liked this one more than the first book! I think this one had more of a focus on the romance plot (the reincarnated soulmate trope isn't something I see often, so it was a fun change), and the world building of this country was more interesting than the country the first book was set it. I also really liked the dream/vision sequences in this book.

The one thing I found irritating though was Oren Radek's name, though, especially during his POV chapters. It would switch between calling him Radek in one chapter, and then Oren in another, and then full Oren Radek in the next, and the inconsistency was super annoying. Especially since Izra was always just referred to as Izra, and he always referred to Oren as Oren during his POVs.

Audio narrator did a great job with this one too.
