The Heart's Invisible Furies by John Boyne
4.0
I’m having a really hard time giving this book 4 stars mainly because there were so many times I wanted to give up reading it. I’m so glad I finished it! The characters I “loved to hate” redeemed themselves in the end and Cyril was able to tie the pieces of his life together after many decades of trials and tribulations. There were not many questions left unanswered and it will make for an interesting discussion. I loved the author’s humor (there were times I laughed out loud) and his sensitivity to some difficult situations. Don’t give up reading it like I almost did! It’s worth it at the end.
