Discovering the Doctor by Calle J. Brookes
This is book 2 by Calle J. Brookes in the Masterson County series. These are shorter novella length romantic suspense books with a small town vibe.

After having mixed feelings about book 1, Seeking the Sheriff I tried again. However, it’s obvious this author just isn’t for me. While the narrator was better this time around – the writing didn’t improve. Still underdeveloped, repetitive, unnatural conversations, and focusing too much on setting up future books in ways that don’t further the plot of this book.
It’s also practically the same book. Clueless girl is completely surprised that the guy who’s been constantly by her side, holding her hand, calling her honey, & kissing her is interested in her.
And does every book involve overly smarmy men and constant threat of sexual assault?
Narration:
Timothy G. Little was new to me. Overall the book didn’t work for me, but I’d be willing to try his work again. Probably in a different genre.
