This books is one that I feel I will over time forget a lot of what happened but some very deep and very key moments, lines, and characters will stick with me. I’ll be thinking about Evelyn and her life while out and about living mine and be more honest, more brave, more myself, or more complexly flawed as human because of her and those around her in this story. Not all books stick like that so that’s pretty special…

Also, it just makes me want to reread it like ten years from now and see how my perspective in a new life stage changes my point of view of Evelyn. It also makes me want to reread Malibu Rising with Mick.

Overall, a beautiful and deeply complex book that really shows how there are always multiple sides to every story.
