Declaration of Courtship by Nalini Singh
4.0
This is on the longer side of Nalini’s novella’s and you can definitely tell by quality. I generally enjoy all of the short stories and snippets that she writes and this was no exception.
I love Cooper and Grace’s dynamic. Though Cooper is one of the most dominant and Grace is one of the most submissive wolves, it doesn’t mean Grace is mindless in the relationship. They both have something to offer each other - they just offer each other different things.
The one thing I wish there was is a protagonist. Nalini usually has some force the couple has to overcome and I feel that this short story was long enough that she could've included more plot beyond the relationship. I know novella's follow different rules, but Nalini was able to balance both relationship and plot in shorter stories than this. It's still a very enjoyable read and a cute story if you like this universe.
