This book was good, in that a lot of plot happened? But not a lot happened? I really am not sure what to do with this book? I didn’t love it and I also didn’t hate it? I left the end of book 1 feeling slightly aware of what was going on and the loose ends were momentarily tied up…. the next book is set up nicely 

Alizeh was competent, loving, and strong but I feel as though I don’t know too much? She made some dumb decisions you couldn’t help but shake your head at but she’s 18 so naturally 

Kamran was something, in some scenes he was every bit the little boy and some he was a man who was fun to read and root for. 

I have heard spoilers for this series and that alone makes me want to read book 2.
