Wow! Am I SO GLAD I decided to continue on with this series!! I found Assassin's Apprentice okay/pretty good. I loved the prose and the storytelling. I really didn't grab hold of the characters emotionally until Royal Assassin. The pacing felt pretty slow. Then I continued on with Royal Assassin this month due to the gushing and love of friends.
Royal Assassin definitely kicks it up a notch. There's intrigue, magic, twists, and cliffhangers!! The pacing seems to be a bit faster....or maybe it's just because more things seem to happen within Buckkeep; The Fool plays a bigger role and I LOVE HIM! Fools/Wit and Wizards seem to be my favorite characters in fantasy lately!
I'm so excited to continue the trilogy on into the following series.
