I am such a sucker for a good single dad romance (bonus points for cute kids) and this book delivered. The plot setup is a little unconventional compared to others but I think it was well written. I really liked Weston. He desperately wants to be a good dad from the jump. He is kind and observant. He immediately ensures that Caleb is what is most important, including co-parenting. I enjoyed seeing Weston and Sadie’s relationship evolve. Sadie has to heal from her grief and reconcile her thoughts and feelings about her sister. I think the pacing of this book allowed the necessary time for her to work through this. I do wish this book had a little more angst and tension. Despite that I couldn’t put the book down. I recommend this for the single dad and sports romance girlies!
Graphic: Death and Grief
Minor: Car accident
