Pucking Around by Emily Rath
Did not finish book. Stopped at 22%.
Personally, I’m not really a why choose girly but I had heard so many good things about this I thought let’s give it a shot! Firstly this book is like 800 pages long. I am a firm believer that if your romance book is over 400 why? What are you doing? Let’s get to the point. Now, what I did read of this book was actually really good! The writing is so smooth and easy to read it was like a movie was playing in my head. The characters are mostly lovable and funny. Secondly, for me personally when the FMC was talking about how shitty her life was as a rock stars child I had to roll my eyes, and then going on about how bad she had it, eehhhhh I didn’t like that. If there’s a sob story, you get one chance to be sad about it, but if I have to read it over and over, I’m annoyed. This has nothing to do with the author, this is just me. Jake was kind of annoying. The constant texts and trying to be the goof ball just didn’t sit well with me, it was like it was forced. I think if you like why choose, then this is the book for you. Two smoking hot hockey players, an equipment manager, and the doctor? It’s perfect. If that’s the case, then read this book! If you’re on the fence about why choose and long books in general, maybe ease into this.
