“Because our lives are measured by the risks we take to help those in need when their need is greatest.”

Alright so when I started this one I was under the impression it was a much different kind of book. I was assuming some very spicy sapphic romance story. However, it's more of a YA story. It has some romance... it has no spice. I will say though that despite all these things I actually really enjoyed the book. I found myself interested in the characters. Aina for sure has some growth during the book that makes her character more interesting. I think at times the book has moments that seemed convenient and unneeded but my love of all things mythology allows me to forgive it. I think the dual pov was good because we got to see how each of the girls was changing because of the journey they found themselves on. I will admit it seemed a bit long sometimes and other times I wished parts had been longer. I will say that even though it's a duet the ending wasn't like an intense cliffhanger I'll die from. I can't explain it but even with the flaws I still kind of loved it.
