I’ve never read a book like this before. A book that features:
📕multiple POV - each with their unique life circumstances
📙addresses social justice issues
📔talks about d/Deaf identity and community
📗educates you on American Sign Language (ASL)
📘features real dilemmas the deaf and hard-of-hearing population experience in a daily basis

Show me another book that does all of that. Please - because I will gladly read it. This book gives you perspective on the joys and hardships of a d/Deaf disability identity which is a group rarely uplifted. Disability identity at all is largely left out of many conversations, and BOTM/book club picks, which is why I was so excited to see this.

This is already going down as a favorite 2022 read and one I will be recommending to pretty much everyone. SO READY FOR THE TV SHOW.
