Circe by Madeline Miller

5.0

My knowledge of Greek mythology was limited to a few nearly forgotten school lessons and having read some Percy Jackson books years ago, so I knew names such as Zeus and Poseidon, but that’s pretty much as far as it went. That is why Circe, which retells the story of the daughter of the god of sun, was highly educational while also being entertaining and gorgeously written. The character development is superb and I’m pretty sure that the way in which the gods and humans are brought to life doesn’t compare to the original texts.
