Wow. This might be a perfect romance. I love that Rachel Lynn Solomon doesn't rely on the miscommunication trope or on inherent competition between romantic partners to create and build tension. "oh no, I'm meeting his ex. Maybe he still has feelings for her." Been there done that. The tension comes from more realistic sources.
I love the vulnerability and openness both characters show when talking about their pasts.
Plus! This book is ALL ABOUT bedroom communication, which we could all use a primer on. We stan consent, protection, and communicating through the entire process.
This book is a gem and I'm SO glad it was written. Thank you RLS!
