Did not finish book. Stopped at 15%.
Based on a true story about how an otherwise straight guy ended up marrying his best friend, it wasn’t so much the content (tho I have also read Gay on a Train by this author, which seems to be the same deal, taking a true online account of a heretofore hetero as inspiration.) It was more the style, which I had to re-read most of the first chapter to make sure I wasn’t reading the ACTUAL author’s note, but nope, it’s a rambling jumble of words about how this guy decided to do NaNoWriMo * hisses at the pain of barely writing anything this month * and his best friend turned boyfriend tells him to write about them. It was just too . . . casual and sloppy in its beginnings, so I bailed after two chapters.
