This was quite the book. My biggest takeaway is that this book, while labeled YA, most likely would not be suitable for those on the lower end of YA. It has some pretty graphic scenes, and they even made me uncomfortable and not in a good way. This book started out with a bang, and then things calmed down a little before picking back up. Aaron was a horrible person and just sucked in general. I feel that this book did drag a little in the middle and I struggled to stay interested, however things picked back up towards the end and I was excited to see how things turned out. I loved that this book was told in both Aaron and Cystal’s point of view, it added a lot to the story and really brought it to life. I did struggle with a few of the details and think that they need to be explained more. How did Paul and Harmoney end up the way they did? It just didn’t make sense to me and I wish more information would have been provided.

Thank you to the publisher @unionsquarebooks for sending me this book. All thoughts are my own.
