The Dead Zone by Stephen King

5.0

Part crime story, part political thriller. This is one of the better Stephen King stories, with a satisfying setup and conclusion. I was not expecting it to be so relevant to today, especially with regard to religious fanaticism and the rise of a political extremist outsider. I think that modern relevancy is precisely what makes The Dead Zone so engaging and, in a different kind of way, scary.
