The Green Mile: The Complete Serial Novel by Stephen King

5.0

I've read a lot of Stephen King's really OLD titles before. This one came out during the time I was having babies and not reading very much. I think this will rank up at the top of my all-time favorite SK books!!

It's a story being told in the past (in the 1930s) by Paul Edgecombe who is now living in a nursing home. Paul was the head guy on E Block of the Cold Mountain Penitentiary....death row. It's a very riveting and tragic story of John Coffey....like the drink but not spelled that way. ;)

Capital punishment is a big hot button then and now, so it brings out emotions regarding that and it's pros/cons, but mostly, this story is how a man can perform miracles that in a lot of ways touch many lives.

Yes, I cried. Now I need to watch the movie because....Tom Hanks.
