The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis
4.0
I remember reading this book when I was really young and again a couple of years ago for a show, but when picking it up a day ago, it seemed like a completely different story. I never remembered it having the father tone in telling the story or the narrator so often turning to the reader and having his own little comments. Not to say I minded, I rather enjoyed having the narrator with me and it sounded like the professor in my mind telling the story. Also I wasn't expecting how much it changed from the memory I have of the movie either, so often do they stop and have tea or play when they need to destroy a great evil but hey, children story.
All in all, I enjoyed this very short, 200-page story and I think it's perfect for a bedtime story for a good week, two weeks.
