He Speaks Dead by Adrienne Wilder

3.0

Charlie sees and speaks to the dead lucky for him because his boyfriend Ethan is a ghost. Things are good for them until attractive Detective Daneil Briggs accuses Charlie of murder.

I was looking forward to this. Unfortunately, it fell a little short. The flow of the story is choppy like the author had a list of scenes she was crossing off. I wasn't buying the connection between Ethan and Charlie it felt awkward, but one of them was a ghost, so I guess I shouldn't be asking for a whole lot. I did like the characters individually.
Spoiler Couldn't this whole thing be avoided if the brothers talked? Sullivan didn't think, "Hey, maybe James's ghost is still at the school, why don't I take Charlie there and investigate? Briggs got played dirty! Ethan! Go into the light!
I would recommend to people who liked Fish and Ghosts by Rhys Ford and Detective Mysteries.
