What we forget as a culture is that BOTH stories are worthy of our attention." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐  Ariel Lawhon is the reason I've been reading so much historical fiction lately and she DID NOT disappoint with this one.  I don't want to give away any spoilers, but this one is tragic and so well written.  Would recommend and will definitely be reading more of her novels.
