So to begin with I thought this would be a standard romance, but O’Leary brings back callings from her first book The Flatshare and looks at some plot twists in the second half to discuss some heavy topics - in this one it’s SA. But overall, it didn’t help fully elevate the book for me because the bits I ADORED in the rep for that, was right at the end. Nonetheless, I think O’Leary can do a beautiful job at looking at making a stock standard romance address some heavy things even if it takes till the second half. 🙊 Also some of the other plot twists in the second half had me cackling and I need someone who’s read this to live out my joy of discussing it please!
