Extremely overrated.
There were cute things.
I just don't understand the way they were connected.
For example, the cryptic (read: absolutely useless) excerpts from Simon Snow (a boring character way too much inspired by Harry Potter.)
I also did not like how the author treated many interesting themes, not deepening them at all.
She started following a path, then decided to walk on the border of the road, too careful not to leave the wild mess of trees. Then she started with another one, and again. She mentioned many directions without taking any.
The ending wasn't bad.
Wasn't good either.
It simply wasn't anything.
It's a pity, because it's not bad written (aside from repetitions and those hideous excerpts) and the idea was fresh and different.
A cute puzzle messed up.
