To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo

4.0

This book was pretty good if you’re into fantasy and political books, but don’t go into this book expecting great romance.

The plot of this book was really good, and the characters were interesting. I love Elian and Lira’s banter, but their romance wasn’t great. There wasn’t enough buildup towards their relationship, and it felt like everyone forgave Lira way to quick. Like I get that she didn’t do something too bad, but I though the crew in the Saad and Elian basically just forgot what she did, and we didn’t get to see how they felt. The ending just felt a bit rushed, like how most people just forgave Sirens super quickly, which doesn’t feel realistic (yes I do understand that nothing in this book is realistic, but I think it would be better if this part was more realistic).

Otherwise though this book has a really interesting plot line and I loved the different POVs.
