It Will Come Back by B.H. Lynn
5.0
This has a bit of a detective noir feel in the beginning which had me hooked, as Trevor spirals into self-pity and his pain. You can perceive how alone he feels. The only thing keeping him going is his job. A job that is far from 9 to 5 and one that has him witnessing some of the worst life has to offer.
When he meets Alex the Irish coffee shop owner, he feels a connection that makes him as scared as it does excited. He refuses to believe that Alex could love him with his baggage and job, but thanks to a criminal who seems to have it out for Alex the Detective can’t stay away from the gorgeous man.
This is a novella, so it was set over a short period of time, but it didn’t feel rushed or lacking. It had everything it needed, character development, back story, interesting storyline, and two gorgeous men finding their happy ending.
All in all, I really enjoyed this. 4.5 stars
