What a horrific book. Not just because it’s a horror book, but the topic is just horrifying and even more so because places like this existed. This book perfectly mixed the supernatural elements into the story and brought it to life in a more horrific way than it existed, though for the children who were sent places like this, probably all too familiar. Just the shear fact that children suffered like this, is terrifying enough. I listened to this one and it gave me chills. This book was so good, so well written, and I really enjoyed it.
