Buckle Up
This book grips you right from the first page and doesn’t let go. It is very angsty and some parts are hard to read, but watching Preston eventually drop his walls and open up to Jeremy was amazing, as well as his family. I’m honestly glad the end turned out the way that it did.
UPDATE:
I changed my star rating to 5. Any book that gets me to come back and read it again automatically gets a 5 star rating from me and I definitely didn’t expect that from this book. Emotionally heavy books tend not to encourage me to come back for a re-read but after reading Blurred Lines I just had to come back to Jeremy and Preston again.
My review above does not express how much I love this book and the growth that Preston made from beginning to end. And Jeremy showed up for him every time, stepped up to the plate when Preston kept pushing and shoving him away. At any time Jeremy could have walked away (and without having any information about what Preston is going through who could blame him) but he came back and proved to Preston that there are people who will show up for him and love him even when it’s hard. I really loved how the team had his back too, no questions asked.
This has become an unexpected favorite of mine and I’m not unhappy about it. I went ahead and bought it for the re-read so I can read it as many times as I want!
